Married Ocean’s Eleven director
Steven Soderberg has admitted to fathering a love child with an Australian
woman.
Soderberg has agreed to make ‘reasonable’
child support payments for the upkeep of Pearl Button Anderson, who was born
last August.
According to docs filed in
Manhattan Supreme Court and seen by Radar online, Soderbergh, 48, ‘consents
to... the entry of a reasonable order of child support.’
The child’s mother, Frances Lawrencina Anderson filed
a paternity lawsuit in February in Manhattan.
She claimed the Traffic
director helped pay medical expenses during her pregnancy, and a DNA test
confirmed paternity of the child, born last
August.
Miss Anderson lives in Sydney
where Soderbergh directed his self-penned play Tot Mom at a local theatre.
The play ran from December 2009
to February 2010.
He has been married to TV
personality and novelist Jules Asner since 2003.
The couple were reported to be
separated while he was living in Australia.
Asner, a 42-year-old former
model once ranked in FHM’s 100 sexiest women list, is now a TV presenter, best
known for her years as a long-time E! show personality.
She has also written a novel
Whacked, which made it into Amazon’s top ten list.
The couple have no children but
Soderbergh has a daughter, Sarah, from his first marriage.
