George and Amal Clooney are hosting a fundraising dinner for Hillary Clinton at their Los Angeles
home next month. But, the tickets for the dinner don’t come cheap. They will
cost a whopping $33,400 each.
The Clooneys fundraiser for Clinton will be held in
their Los Angeles home in April. People from all walks of life now have an
opportunity to dine with the 38-year-old and her 54-year-old Hollywood
heartthrob husband. The Hollywood actor and his human rights lawyer wife have
gone all out to support Clinton.
Earlier, the “Monuments Men” actor went on record in
support of the former U.S. secretary of State. George said he would do
“whatever Hillary wanted, whatever he could do to help.” The couple have
announced that they are throwing a special fundraising dinner in their LA home.
The actor confirmed the news in an email to supporters of Hillary. However, the actor assured
prospective diners that he will not cook. “The good news is, I'm not cooking,”
George joked.
Meanwhile, in the email, he praised Clinton calling
her “a voice of tolerance and experience who’s spent a lifetime fighting for
the rights of the less fortunate; a candidate who knows first-hand the
complexity of our international relationships.” He has always been vocal about
his support for the politician. Besides, this is not the first time George is
showing his support for a Democrat.
The actor was earlier also involved with an election.
In 2012, he hosted a fundraising sinner for Barack Obama. The tickets for the
dinner cost $40,000 per head and raised $15 million.
Amal, meanwhile spoke at the India Today Conclave in
New Delhi, India on Sunday. The barrister gave Jackie Kennedy vibes in an orange Paule Ka dress suit. It consisted of a sleeveless sheath
dress (Look 3)
which featured robe detailing in satin and crepe.
It also had a crop jacket of the same color with long
sleeves, round collar and button down. She accessorized with a pair of
Akong London Amsterdam drop earrings. It consisted of classic white
pearl and navy blue accent thread detail with Swarovski crystals in green and
purple.
Talking about her marriage, the brunette beauty said
she and George waited for a long time to make the ultimate plunge and get married.
She added at their wedding there were people on both sides who thought they
would never get married. About U.S. presidential elections, Amal hoped that if
the battle at the end boiled down to Trump versus Clinton, she wanted to
support the first female president of the US.
